On June 23, 2022, Akim of Atyrau region Serik Dzhambyluly Shapkenov received Director of the Institute of Archaeology named after A. Margulan of the Science Committee of the Ministry of education and science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, candidate of historical sciences akan Ongar and director of the state historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve “Saraishyq”, doctor of historical sciences, professor Abilseit Kapizovich Muktar. During the meeting, topical issues of protection, preservation and scientific research of historical and cultural monuments of Atyrau region, the monument of the medieval city of Saraishyq were discussed. The governor of the region expressed support for the issues raised by scientists.
