Saraishyk is one of the civilized cities located on the right bank of the Ural River, with a developed craft and trade on the Great Silk Caravan, linking East and West in the Middle Ages. It was one of the three best centers of the Ulus Jochi (Saray-Batu, Saray-Berke, Saraishyk), and then the capital of the Nogai Horde and the capital of the Kazakh Khanate under Kasym-Khan. Historians associate the appearance of the city of Saraishyқ in the 13th century, that is, with the reign of Batu, the grandson of Genghis Khan.
