Researchers also refer to the city of Beljamen as the city of Vodyanskoye. Notable scholars such as G.A. Fyodorov-Davydov and V.L. Yegorov contributed to the archaeological study of the city. In addition to residential buildings, the site revealed a 900 m² stone mosque, three mausoleums, a bathhouse with a water supply system, and various craft workshops. Artifacts collected at the site of Beljamen were transferred to a museum located in the center of the Dubovsky district. The scientists viewed the museum exhibition and then visited the archaeological excavations on the banks of the Volga River. There, they collected medieval bricks, fragments of clay pottery, and other artifacts needed for the museum-reserve. The scientists hope that research in this region will continue in the future.
