1. The «Saraishyq» Museum-Reserve prepared the documents in accordance with the requirements and in March through the elicense.kz website has received a state license from the Committee of Culture of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan to conduct archaeological work on historical and cultural monuments in the territory of the Republic.
2. The archaeological exploration expedition of the museum-reserve in April revealed a new archaeological monument in the territory of the Makhambet district, the medieval Kulish caravanserai, located on the left side of the Ural River.
3. In June, archaeologists of the museum-reserve conducted research in excavations No. 3 at the site of the medieval city of Saraishyq. About 280 square meters of the cultural layer area have been opened, dozens of rooms and a sauna have been discovered.
4. In August-September, an area of 800 sq. m. was surveyed at excavation site No. 2 in Saraishyq and a part of a city street about 40 m long was uncovered. Rooms of residential buildings of the city were found on both sides of the street.
5. In September, archaeologists of the museum-reserve conducted scientific research on the site of the medieval cities of Zhaiyk, Zhalpaktal, located on the territory of the Western Kazakhstan.
