Expedition to the lands of Tasoba and Besikty

When referring to the monuments of the altynor period in Atyrau region, it is obvious that the people first come to the mouth of SaraIshyq, Aktobe, and Taskeshu caravanserai. But there are other Golden Horde monuments in the region. One of these monuments is called the land of Tasoba, which is located on the territory of the Indersky district. According to the stories told in the mouth of the country, there was a trading town in the time of the development of the Golden Horde state, and some say that it was the home of the Kalmyk Thai Ayuke Khan. Tasoba was investigated in 2007 by the archaeological expedition of Atyrau State University named after H. Dosmukhamedov, 3 observation pits were excavated at the site of the monument. At that time, it turned out that the ceramic bricks laid on the floor of the building were fixed with ganch mortar. The monument dates back to the XIII-XV centuries. At that time, this remarkable monument was not studied by historians.

In order to explore the caravan routes between "Saraishyq-Saray - Batu", the expedition members of the museum-reserve "Saraishyq" visited the burial ground of "Bastykty" of the early Iron Age, located 13 km southwest of the village of Kyzyluy in the Tusykuduk rural district. Local historian Shegen Netaliyev, Zhumazhan Zhakins said that the correct name of the monument, which is written in official documents as the burial site "Besikty", is "Bastykty".
