On May 28, 2024, according to the annual work plan of the Saraishyq Museum-Reserve, in order to implement the scientific program "Golden Horde monuments of Saraishyq, Ushkan, Ashchysai, Karagaily in the context of historical and cultural heritage (XIII-XV centuries)", an expedition was organized by PhD, Professor Serik Kuanysh from the Atyrau University named after H. Dosmukhamedov together with archaeologist Amangeldy Zainov, program members Aibek Turaruly, Amangeldy Zhumabaev at the site of the monuments of Ashchysai, Karagaily, where archaeological research is planned. Due to flooding of the roads leading to the monuments from the Saraishyq direction, the expedition members traveled along the Atyrau-Astrakhan road through the western side. However, it was found that the Ashysai monument was flooded from all sides and remained on the island. All the tubular bridges along the Baishak water canal were demolished in order to allow large amounts of water to pass through. Beyond the Urals, they stretched up to 18-20 kilometers. The expedition conducted exploration work on the Karagaily monument.
