September 12, the “Tour de Saraishyq – 2026” cycling tour was held, organized by the Department of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism of Atyrau Region, the Akimat of Atyrau City, the Police Department of Atyrau Region, the “Saraishyq” State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve, and the Atyrau Regional Cycling Federation.
The main objectives of the cycling tour were to promote domestic tourism, raise awareness of the historical significance of the ancient city of Saraishyq, enhance the region’s tourism potential, promote a healthy lifestyle, and support active recreation.
The 100-kilometre route started at Sultan Beibarys Square in Atyrau, passed through the city’s main streets and landmarks, crossed bridges connecting Europe and Asia, and finished at the Saraishyq Visit Center in Saraishyq village, Makhambet District.More than 150 cyclists from Atyrau and other regions of Kazakhstan, as well as participants from abroad, took part in the event.
The participants completed the 100-kilometre distance, actively taking part in the cycling tour to the historic city of Saraishyq.
“Tour de Saraishyq – 2026” is an important event that brought together sport and history, tourism and the natural beauty of the region. The participants explored the historical and cultural heritage of Saraishyq and contributed to promoting the tourism potential of the Atyrau region.
