“The Secret of Tenge: What Do the Coins of Saraishyq Tell Us?”

A fascinating educational meeting titled “The Secret of Tenge: What Do the Coins of Saraishyq Tell Us?” was held at the “Saraishyq” State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve with renowned numismatist P.N. Petrov.
The event was attended by the museum-reserve’s research staff and tour guides.
The numismatist shared valuable information about the symbols of khans found on Golden Horde coins, their distinctive features, and their connection to different historical periods.
During the meeting, the participants discussed the historical information revealed by numismatic materials discovered at Saraishyq.
The museum-reserve’s tour guides, together with the scholar, explored answers to questions frequently asked by visitors. They also exchanged views on Golden Horde numismatics, Saraishyq coins, monetary circulation, and the meaning of the term “issuers.”
Such scientific and educational meetings help improve the professional knowledge of museum specialists and provide an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of Saraishyq’s historical and cultural heritage.
