The State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve “Saraishyq” held an educational and scientific lecture at the Atyrau Agrarian-Technical College named after Onaybay Koshekov in the city of Atyrau. The main goal of the event was to increase the younger generation’s sense of responsibility for preserving historical and cultural heritage and to draw public attention to the importance of safeguarding national values.
During the lecture, the historical significance of the medieval city of Saraishyq was comprehensively presented, including its role as a political, economic, and cultural center during the Golden Horde period. In addition, new findings from archaeological research and information about the sites that have been preserved to this day were introduced.
Within the framework of the meeting, issues related to the protection of historical monuments, their current condition, and the harmful consequences of vandalism were widely discussed. The specialists emphasized that preserving cultural heritage is not only a responsibility at the state level, but also a shared duty of every citizen.
Such educational initiatives contribute to the development of historical awareness among young people, increase their interest in the history of their homeland, and strengthen respect for cultural heritage.
