Today, on May 15, in celebration of International Museum Day, the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve “Saraishyq” organized an international round table titled “Turkic States in the Middle Ages and Their Cultural Connections.”
Leading museum professionals, scholars, and historians from Kazakhstan, Türkiye, Azerbaijan, and Russia (the Republic of Sakha and Tyumen Region) took part in the online event.
The main purpose of the event was to preserve and promote the shared history of Turkic peoples, study cultural heritage, and strengthen international museum cooperation.The round table was opened with a welcoming speech by the Director of the Saraishyq Museum-Reserve, Doctor of Historical Sciences Abilseit Kapizuly Muktar, who wished the participants productive discussions.
During the event, several important presentations were delivered:

Colleagues from Azerbaijan — Sevinj Nasirova, Israil Mammadov, Aysel Aliyeva, and Khayal Semenderli — presented materials on tambour embroidery, the ancient cities of Shabran and Shamkir, and the archaeological heritage of the Keshikchidagh Reserve.

Representing Kazakhstan, Karlygash Eskabylova (Makhambet Museum) delivered a presentation on the common heritage of Turkic peoples, while Oryn Sagynbayeva, Chief Curator of the Saraishyq Museum-Reserve, shared valuable information about Saraishyq artifacts and medieval cultural connections.
