Scientific Trip to Uzbekistan

From February 8 to 19, 2026, Senior Researcher Zh. Baigaliev of the “Saraishyq” Museum-Reserve conducted research work in the cities of Tashkent and Nukus, Republic of Uzbekistan. During the research, materials related to the coinage of Amir Temur discovered in recent years at the Saraishyq settlement were examined, along with scholarly works in the field of numismatics. The research was carried out at the Amir Temur Museum, the Alisher Navoi National Library of Uzbekistan, and the Karakalpak Branch of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The materials collected during this research visit will contribute to a deeper study of the history of Saraishyq and provide a scholarly analysis of medieval monetary circulation.
