The history of the cities of Aktobe-Laeti and Atyrau

Today, on November 23, the Atyrau Regional Museum of Local Lore organized an international scientific and practical conference "The history of the cities of Aktobe-Laeti and Atyrau: a new look". The conference was attended by the scientific secretary of the "Saraishyq" Museum-Reserve A. Zhumabaev and Chief Inspector A. Turarovich. A. Turarovich made a report at the plenary session of the conference on the topic "On the name of the city of Aktobe and on one object discovered during excavations". As part of the conference, archaeologists of the museum-reserve discussed the place of the medieval Saraishyq in the history of the Golden Horde with the leading researcher of the Sh.Marjani Institute of History of Tatarstan Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Historical Sciences Izmailov Iskender Lerunovich, senior researcher of the Department of Medieval Archaeology of the Institute of Archaeology named after A.H.Khalikov of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan, Ph.D. Volkov Igor Viktorovich, Head of the M.A. Usmanov Center for Research on the Golden Horde and Tatar Khanates of Sh.Marjani Institute of History of Tatarstan Academy of Sciences, Candidate of Historical Sciences. Mirgaleev Ilnur Midkhatovich, Associate Professor of the Maxim Gorky Literature Institute, Candidate of Historical Sciences Pachkalov Alexander Vladimirovich.
