Spheroconus. XIII-XIV c.

It is made of red clay and is also known as a mercury vessel (synaqköze). It consists of a short neck connected to a bulbous body that tapers into a cone at the base. The neck is decorated with floral patterns, and a horizontal line runs around the lower section. Such vessels were used to store mercury and other liquids such as perfume or liquid gold.
