Today, on March 28, the Atyrau Region Historical Museum hosted an exhibition of exhibits found in 2023 during the excavations of the medieval city of Saraishyq and the Taskeshu caravanserai.
In the archaeological season of last year, the museum's archaeologists conducted excavations in Saraishyq on an area of 3 thousand square meters and opened a multi-room building made of raw brick and numerous burial complexes. A rich collection of ceramic products, a treasure trove of silver coins, processed bone products and metal objects were discovered, which were presented at today's exhibition. This season, research in the excavations continues, scientific searches will deepen.
