On May 31, 2023, Scientific Secretary, Master of the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve "Saraishyq" of the Committee of Culture of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan A. Zhumabayev took part in a round table organized by the Isatay District Department of Internal Policy and Language Development in honor of the Day of Remembrance of Victims of Political Repression on May 31 and made a report on the topic "Prorva in the GULAG system - The history of Astrakhan camps." The event, held in the central library of the Isatay district, was attended by descendants of victims of political repression and famine, as well as representatives of the district council of veterans. At the end of the meeting, the proposals and opinions of the participants were heard.
